Research Overview

We are a group at the Max-Planck Institute for the Structure and Dynamics of Matter working on the time-dependent many-body problem in quantum physics. We investigate basic mathematical questions of the underlying many-body equations (e.g. regularity of solutions to the time-dependent Schrödinger equation), develop approximation schemes (e.g. density-functional approaches) and explore new numerical tools (e.g. iterative algorithms to control the dynamics of a many-body system).
